PACKET PICK-UP: Shirt and bib pick-up are on Saturday, June 20th, from 12pm – 4pm at Sunset Cultural Center. Limited race day pick -up is between 7:00am and 8:15am at Sunset Center Plaza. We will do our best but shirt sizes are not guaranteed! Pre-ordered dog shirts and tribute bibs should be picked up at this time. If you did not order one of these items when you registered, tribute bibs and dog shirts WILL be available at packet pick-up.

Awards Ceremony and Raffle – 9:15 AM at the Finish Celebration in Del Mar Parking Lot
Both the 5K and the 2K courses will close at 10:00 AM.
The Finish Celebration at Del Mar Parking lot will end by 11:00 AM and the lot will open to the public at 11:30.
ALL FINISHERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE START, APPROXIMATELY A ONE MILE SCENIC WALK UP OCEAN AVENUE TO SUNSET CENTER. IF DESIRED, A PARTICIPANT SHOULD ARRANGE TO BE PICKED UP EAST OF THE FINISH ON SAN ANTONIO STREET.
ENTRY FEE – includes event t-shirt, bib, finisher’s medallion, raffle ticket, 2k dog participant bandanas, finish refreshments and a FREE Tribute Book submission with online registration.
5K – $40 ($45 On Race Day)

TRIBUTE BOOK – FREE submission for all online registrants
Registered participants are invited to submit their name, the name of the individual for whom they are running or walking, a 150 character message and photo for inclusion in the on-line TRIBUTE BOOK

Runners participating in the event can also purchase an additional TRIBUTE BIB to honor their loved one while participating in the 5K or 2K events. The bibs will read “I am running in the name of” with a space for you to write your personal dedication. However, if you would like a designated name to be pre-printed, enter the name in the space provided on the registration form. Pre-printed bibs must be ordered by May 24th. Your pre-ordered bibs will be available for pick-up along with your participant bib. Tribute bibs will also be available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday at packet pick-up and you will be able to personalize your Tribute Bib at that time.

Friendly, LEASHED dogs are welcome to participate in the 2K walk. Retractable leashes are not allowed. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE 5k. Walkers are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Water will be available. Run in the Name of Love “race shirts” (for dogs under 50 pounds) can be pre-ordered at time of registration. They will also be available to purchase at packet pick-up. This is a very unique feature of this event; don’t let your dog miss out….too cute! Indicate size when registering – $16/shirt. AWARDS CEREMONY & RAFFLE – BE SURE TO PREVIEW SOME OF THE MANY GREAT PRIZES IN THE “RAFFLE ” SECTION!
Finishers’ Medallions will be awarded to all finishers in the 5K Run and 2K Walk.
Dogs in the 2K Walk will receive a dog biscuit when they cross the finish line!

There will be AWARDS THREE DEEP IN 10 YEAR INCREMENTS and awards for the top male and female finishers in the 5K event. Results will be online in the finish area as they become available.
FATHER & DAUGHTER/SON AND MOTHER & DAUGHTER/SON AWARDS: The three lowest combined times in each category will win a special award.
THE AWARDS CEREMONY AND RAFFLE DRAWING WILL BE HELD AT THE FINISH-LINE CELEBRATION IN THE DEL MAR PARKING LOT, AT THE BASE OF OCEAN AVENUE. FOLLOWING, PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE START, APPROXIMATELY A ONE MILE SCENIC WALK UP OCEAN AVENUE TO SUNSET CENTER.
Registration is online only through Active.com. If the event(s) are not sold out, runners/walkers may register onsite at packet pick-up Saturday, June 20th, between 12pm and 4pm and Sunday morning, race day, between 7:00am and 8am.
Located near the Start at Sunset Center will be a marked GEAR CHECK truck. Participants may deposit BAGGED jackets, sweats, etc. that will be transported to the Finish area for pick-up upon completion of the race. PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN SECURE BAG clearly marked with your NAME and BIB NUMBER written or attached. (Please do not check important items such as medication, etc. The event is not responsible for lost items.)
One aid station with water available will be located at River Beach, approximately halfway through the course. Porta Potties will be located at the Start and Finish and two facilities are available along the course.
Typical central coast weather predicts perfect summer running conditions! Be prepared for early morning fog and temperatures in the high 50 degree range!
Free parking is available in the north-west corner lot of Sunset Center, Eighth Avenue and San Carlos Street.
Directions from Hwy 1 to Public Parking Lot (SW corner of Mission Street and Eighth Avenue).
From Highway 1, take Ocean Avenue west to Junipero Street. Turn left on Junipero and go two blocks. Turn right on Eighth Avenue and go one block. The paid Public Parking lot will be on your left.
Additional parking is available along side streets. Cars parked in the two hour parking spots will not be marked until 9:00 AM and not ticketed until after 11:00 AM.
REMEMBER: TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE START IS NOT PROVIDED. PARK IN A LOCATION THAT IS MOST SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS OR ARRANGE FOR A PICK-UP ON SAN ANTONIO STREET, ONE BLOCK EAST OF THE FINISH LINE.
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS, NO ROLL-OVERS, AND NO BIB TRANSFERS. If you cannot participate, your generous donation will be appreciated by the outstanding youth organization JUST RUN!
